Eliminate Duplication
When used with Blue Chip, HCN's practice management software designed
exclusively for specialists, there is no need to key in the patient
demographic details again. Simply press the Day Surgery button and
the information is automatically transferred into the database.
Improved efficiency
Shuffle less paper with Blue Chip Day Surgery. Instead of filling
out hundreds of forms, simply key the information into the database
and Blue Chip Day Surgery takes care of the statistics.
Timely information to Statutory bodies
Once the coding of an episode has been completed it is automatically
transferred to the list for file creation and transmission to the
Health Department. The information is also used to satisfy the needs
of the Private Hospital Database (PHDB), the Australian Bureau of
Statistics (ABS) and Health funds such as MBF.

Up-to-date databases
With Blue Chip Day Surgery's support plan you receive timely updates
to the software as well as updates to the standard databases such
as ICD 10. Theis means that the information you enter is always
accurate with the reference databases on your system.
Common operating system platform
Blue Chip Day Surgery runs on popular Microsoft Windows platform.
In a networked environment this allows the data to be accessed by
several staff at the same time. By sharing the information across
a network it is easy to disseminate information to all areas of
the day facility. The network also allows your practice to run other
programs for information management side by side with Blue Chip
Day Surgery.
Multi-user, multi-tasking
Each workstation on the network has access to the Blue Chip Day
Surgery system. When information is updated on one workstation it
is available to everybody on the network. This saves time and improves
workflow efficiencies.

Smart fields
Most fields within the software are 'smart fields'. This means
that when information is entered it learns what has been keyed in
to save you having to re-key the information next time. This saves
you time and speeds up coding.
