MBS Fee May 2010 and Incentive Item Changes Update

Dear PracSoft Customer,

HCN is pleased to announce the release of the May 2010 Medicare Benefits Schedule (MBS) fees and May 2010 Incentive Item Changes for PracSoft 3.

PracSoft version 3.11 and above

If you are using PracSoft version 3.11 or above, you will already have the HCN Automatic Update utility installed. The MBS May 2010 Fee Update and May 2010 Incentive Item Changes will automatically be delivered together as one package to your desktop via the HCN Automatic Update in the next few days.

You will be notified with a prompt that will appear in the bottom right hand corner of your desktop.

Double click on the HCN Automatic Update icon, click on the Download and Install button and follow the prompts.

Alternatively you may decide to manually download this update from our website by doing the following:

1. Click on the link http://www.hcn.com.au/products/pracsoft/downloads.asp
2. Go to the download section MD / PS 3.11.4 Update and click on the link mdps3114.exe

Important:

• The Fee update should not be applied before the 1 May 2010.
• This update only applies to PracSoft 3.11 and above
• Release Notes for this update is also available in the download section

PracSoft version 3.10 and below

MBS May 2010 Fee Update

If you are using PracSoft version 3.10 and prior, you will need to manually download the MBS May 2010 Fee Update from our website. The MBS Fee Update is current from 1 May 2010 and can be downloaded by doing the following:

1. Click on the link http://www.hcn.com.au/products/pracsoft/downloads.asp
2. Go to the download section Fee Updates click on the link Ps3MbsFUMay2010.exe

Important:

• The Fee update should not be applied before the 1 May 2010.
• Instructions for this update is also available in the Fee Updates download section

Incentive Item Changes May 2010

If you are using PracSoft version 3.10 or prior, and would like the update for the May 2010 Incentive Item Changes, you must first upgrade to PracSoft version 3.11.

After you have upgraded to PracSoft version 3.11, please do the following:

1. Click on the link http://www.hcn.com.au/products/pracsoft/downloads.asp
2. Go to the download section MD / PS 3.11.4 Update and click on the link mdps3114.exe
