MD/PS 3.12.1b Update
Description:
This release contains important eHealth initiatives in line with the Government’s eHealth strategy as well as product enhancements, modifications and fixes to MDPS 3.12.1 (release September 2011). MDPS 3.12.1 is a pre-requisite for this update.

The 3.12.1b update replaces 3.12.1a. If you have already installed 3.12.1a you do not need to install 3.12.1b.
Sites that have installed 3.12.1a and also have PracSoft installed MUST contact HCN Technical Support for assistance, as explained following.

Instructions:
- Click on the Download button.
- When prompted, select the option to 'Save' the update file to your computer. Do NOT select the option to 'Run' the file at this time.
- Select a location on your computer to save and download the update when ready.
- Close Medical Director, PracSoft and the Appointment Book on all computers.
- Perform this update on the Server first, then on each workstation.
- Navigate to the location where you downloaded the update, and double-click on it to initiate the installation.
- The Update Installation Wizard opens. If prompted (depending on your computer's security settings), click the 'Run' button to commence the installation. The installation proceeds automatically.
- When complete, the Installation Wizard will close automatically.

MD/PS 3.12.1 Update
Description:
This update contains enhancements, modifications and fixes to MD/PS3.12 released via CD on 24 March 2011. It includes content from 3.12a, 3.12b and 3.12c updates.
Key items:
Medical Director- The Welch Allyn ProBP 3400 Blood Pressure Monitor now integrates with Medical Director.
- Enhancements of MD2-to-MD3 Migration Utility and Merge Criteria window.
- Prevenar 13 is now available to the Australian Standard Vaccination Schedule for childhood immunisations.
- The Pneumovax23 prompt criteria has been updated to meet recent changes to AMA Immunisation Guidelines
- Clinical Import/Export now provides the option for including a patient’s Actions/Recall data.
- MDStats references to National Primary Care Collaborative (NPCC) have been updated to read ‘Australian Primary Care Collaborative (APCC)’. Numerous report modifications have been implemented to comply with updated measures released for APCC and NPI reporting.
- The MDref Drug Database was modified to improve prescribing performance.
- The Medicare Benefits Schedule for Progress Notes has been updated for July 2011.
PracSoft
- You can now cut an existing ‘Add Fit’ appointment and paste it into a different appointment slot.
- The maximum number of lines available to your letterhead has been increased from 20 to 30 lines.
- The PKI Certificate Manager has been updated to v2.3.15
- Any changes to Day Sheet column widths are now retained.
- Payment and Exception Reports can now be printed on A5 paper.
- The Waiting Room window will refresh automatically, even if focus is on another window.
- You can now print labels on custom paper sizes.

April 2011 - PracSoft PKI Certificate Update
Description:
Sites still on Client Adaptor 6.0.0 through 6.11.2, who use the ‘CEO Medicare Australia:5322397356’ encryption certificate is required to send a secure B2B transmission to Medicare Australia between March 19 and Saturday April 23.
This will enable Medicare Australia to seamlessly push out the new encryption certificate into their PSI store.
Why do I have to do this?
Valid Medicare Australia certificates are required by customers who communicate electronically with Medicare Australia when using PKI. Replacement of expired certificates is a normal operational procedure. Renewing your Medicare Australia certificates will allow online operations to continue uninterrupted.
PKI technology is used in PracSoft3 for secure transmission of Bulk Bill and Private invoices to Medicare.
HCN is pleased to provide PracSoft customers with the latest version of the PKI Manager. This is identical to that which is available from the Medicare Australia website. It is provided here for your convenience and, once installed, will assist you to update the Medicare Australia PKI certificate to the very latest and current version.

- The link below provides detailed instructions for updating the Medicare Australia PKI Certificate. It is recommended that you download this document (Adobe PDF format) and print it for reference.
PKI Certificate Renewal Guide - After reading the instructions you will find that you need to download the latest PKI Certificate Manager Installer by clicking on 'download' button at right hand side table.
- Staff must close PracSoft (and Medical Director if also using PKI) when you perform the instructions, which should normally be run on the server.
HCN strongly recommends that you always update your Medicare Australia PKI certificate to the latest and current version.
